Laura’s passion for sport and exercise sparked her career in Soft Tissue Therapy. Starting with a BSc in Injury Rehabilitation and Prevention from Middlesex University, London, Laura began her career working in semi-professional football and youth athlete academies. This was invaluable experience working with top coaches and supporting a young team of athletes through their training and competition, including at Olympic Training camps in Spain and Austria.

It was whilst working with Athletes that Laura’s interest in the application of massage peaked. Seeing first-hand how essential massage can be in a variety of settings and musculoskeletal complaints ignited further study around the subject, going on to complete her level 5 Diploma in Sports Massage in 2013.

Laura embraced her new skills working within clinics to further develop in a diverse population and sporting or non-sporting backgrounds. Then, the light bulb moment struck and Laura realised that “We are all Athletes and such should treat our bodies as one,” hurting your knee on the football pitch should not be different to recovery from a fall down the stairs (which subsequently happens a lot with Athletes in the locker rooms anyway!) We must look after our bodies if we want them to look after us. Giving everyone the knowledge to help themselves with correct assessment, treatment and exercise rehabilitation is the most powerful tool and a real privilege!

Laura loves working with people to help them achieve their goals, and does a lot of work with runners and walkers. After completing her qualification in running and walking technique coaching from The Running School, Laura finds great joy in helping amateur runners complete their heart-warming goals of charity marathons, ultras and 5km - she enjoyed this so much, she even put herself in their shoes and trained and completed two ultra runs of 84km and 100km in the UK.

So, whether your goal is to ease tensions from work, or recover from a sporting event, Laura has you covered. Keen to ensure everyone can continue living life as they want to with optimum movement and a pain-free active lifestyle, Laura will use all her available skills to help you.
