Lia has 19 years of experience in clinical massage, with 15 years of experience as a lecturer teaching sports massage, injury rehabilitation and anatomy alongside her practice.

She is qualified to level 5 and specialises in chronic pain, lymphatic drainage and abdominal massage. Lia trained with the top experts in the field of soft tissue therapy and is highly experienced in the treatment of chronic pain and recurring injuries.

Her treatments are best described as deep yet relaxing. She initially trained in aromatherapy and Indian head massage, before going on to do further training in clinical remedial massage,  and now specialises in treating pain and injuries. Lia loves to use techniques that are deep and highly effective, and works particularly with myofascial release, trigger point release and advanced stretching to relieve her clients' tension and pain. Her approach is individual, targeted and specific, and she seeks to find the root cause of chronic pain conditions.

She has worked with a wide range of clients over her career to date, including athletes, pregnant women and stroke and brain injury patients. She understands the link between stress and muscular tension and has treated many people successfully for stress-related issues such as headaches, back pain and IBS. With her lymphatic drainage work, she has treated cancer patients and people with lymphedema and post-operative conditions.

Lia has practised yoga for 21 years and was previously an athlete competing in Judo, running and triathlons. She looks after her body with yoga, pilates, specific stretching and massage.
