Zoe Garnham joins The Soma Room as our first local therapist: born and raised in Ealing!  She's travelled and lived abroad but describes herself as a home bird always making her way back to Ealing.

Zoe initially obtained a BSc in fashion sportswear and worked briefly in the fashion industry before deciding to switch careers and go into preventative health and wellness. Her gateway into the industry was as a qualified personal trainer for 3 years.  She gained in-depth knowledge of the body mechanics, anatomy and physiology involved in sport, as well as experience working with a diverse range of clients.

Whilst working as a personal trainer and fitness instructor, she continued to broaden her skillset.  She certified as a Sports Massage Therapist after completing her 2 year degree in Sports Massage Therapy at St Mary’s University.  The course taught Zoe how to conduct subjective and objective assessments, provide treatment modalities to support soft tissue repair, and provide sports massage techniques to prevent and manage injury.

Zoe's massage approach is solution-based.  She tailors her treatments to be direct to the primary concern for her clients and works to fix it.  Then going beyond the initial treatment experience, Zoe provides her clients with after-care advice so they can prolong the benefits of the massage, empowering them to improve their own physical health.

When she isn't massaging, Zoe enjoys Cross-fit training, competing in various sporting events such as Hyrox and the Ealing Half Marathon and long walks with her dog, Paulo.
